Welcome to Visegrad!

Visit Visegrad, one of Hungary's richest cities in historical monuments!

Take our bus aVisegrád Mountains through its most beautiful landscapes, forests and meadows! Our hop on hop off bus departs from Mahart boat station.

 

The Roman province of 2000 years ago,of the legionaries of Pannonia we follow him for the first kilometer, then we climb up the mountain. We stopped next to the remains of one of the largest Roman watchtowers on Sibrik hill, aSolomon's Tower at a stop. From this stop, you can take an easy 10-minute walk through the forest to reach Solomon's Tower, which was not only a royal residence and watchtower in the early Middle Ages, but was also imprisoned hereVlad Tapes, sayCount Dracula also as a prisoner of King Matthias.

Up the hill, aHazelnut Hill opposite our stop is theZoo entrance, where native animals, red deer, wild boar, and mouflon live. This park can be visited for free and is a great experience for small children.

 

Our next stop isBobsleigh track, one of the favorite entertainments of young and old. From this stop, you can also reach theCanopy Fun and Extreme adventure park, abseiling on a wire rope course above the foliage provides exciting entertainment. From here, it is a short walk to the Nagyvillam restaurant with its beautiful panorama and the lookout point below, orOn top of Nagyvlám mountain the Zsitvay lookout point, which offers the entire panorama.

 

The next stop of our bus isHotel Silvanus. Anyone can come here and enjoy one of the most wonderful views of the Danube Bend from the hotel's restaurant.

Our next stop isCitadel. Walking through the ruins of the medieval royal palace, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Danube Bend. On the grounds of the castle, you can admire the replica of the Holy Crown and the Panopticon, Weapons History, Hunting and Castle History exhibitions. Perhaps the most beautiful section of our bus route follows after the Citadel. We descend with big bends through dense, leafy forests. We slow down at a vantage point so that you can see the Danube again, the waters of the artificial bay created on the remains of the planned Nagymaros dam.

 

TheApátkúti Valleyonce you get in, you can get out and hike through beautiful meadows to trout lakes.

Here you can catch your lunch - which is baked on site, visit the waterfalls and the Miklós Bertényi herb garden.

We continue through the city, aBoutique hotel leaving a stop on the road, we arrive at our Nagymarosi Rév stop. This is a transfer point for the Rév crossing, but you can also get off and take a pleasant walk along the coastal promenade.

The final stop of our bus isVisegrad Royal Palace stop.

 

Our bus aPalace house stops in front of craft workshops. It is a 10-minute walk from herePalace of the kings of Anjou and King Matthias, which is now a museum with interesting attractions for the little ones as well.
